Christian Youth in Action™ is a program of Child Evangelism Fellowship® designed to train you and a team of other young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. You will participate in two weeks of training where you will learn to present the Gospel clearly on a child's level, counsel a child for salvation and lead a dynamic 5 Day Club® and VBS ministry for kids. Components of a club include teaching a Bible lesson, a real-life missionary story and a Bible verse as well as leading songs, games, and a fun review time.
After this training, you and your team will return to our local community and teach clubs at various locations. These clubs take place out in the community with predominantly unsaved kids who don't regularly attend church. You will be able to take the light of the Gospel to them in their apartment complexes, daycare centers, neighborhoods, schools and other community locations.
TRAINING SCHOOL
Training for CYIA™ is intensive and designed to equip students to not only teach a Bible lesson but lead a ministry. The skills learned in CYIA™ training will be invaluable as you embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be 13 years of age or older*
- Be a spiritually growing Christian
- Have a desire to work with children
- Fulfill training school requirements
- Attend both weeks of training
- Be available for up to 6 weeks of ministry throughout the summer. (Flexible schedule allows for family responsibilities, vacations, etc.)
- Promote CEF® to family and friends to raise awareness and support for summer ministry.
*CYIA™ are not always teenagers. Many young people and adults serve each summer and find it very rewarding.
